Ask your #WCW with Jules Cardoso

I love female fronted rock bands, and The Road Heavy are one of the best ones out there! We featured guitarist Ryan Blake on Monday as our #mancrush, but now it’s time for vocalist Jules Cardoso to shine as our #womancrushwednesday!

This Southern Style Rock & Blues band has been rockin stages since 2014. Jules’ was invited to join the band while on their east coast tour with Gilby Clarke in 2014. The band quickly realized there was an amazing flow to their shows, so they invited her to join the band permanently.  The addition of Jules’ amazing vocals to their all male lineup has given The Road Heavy’s sound a unique twist. It’s that mix of melodic riffs, lush guitar tones and soulful male and female vocals that has helped the band win the hearts of fans and industry alike.

You can check out the band this week in Toronto at North by North East when they take over the Hideout. For now, read the lady Jules view on romance below!

What is your definition of romance?

Sharing your food without getting mad, spontaneous love and knowing what u drink 😉

What’s your instant deal breaker?

Arrogance. Don’t get me wrong I love confidence…. but there’s a fine line between confidence and douche baggery.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever done to get a love interests attention?

When I was in high school I got a job at the same place the guy I liked worked. I was sure if he spent enough forced time with me he’d see how awesome I am. Haha.

If there was one piece of advice you could give to other women out there, what would it be?

Don’t hold on to baggage, it’ll weigh you down. It’s not a guys fault for something somebody else did. Also don’t be a bitch… men aren’t mind readers.

Describe your love life in one word.

Labyrinthine.
