This week’s #womancrushwednesday is the sweet and stunning Florence K!

This Quebecois songstress has been dazzling listeners in both english and french for years. Most recently, she teamed up with Platinum selling crooner Matt Dusk on wonderful cover of “Something Stupid” by C. Carson Parks, and made famous by Frank and Nancy Sinatra. The song is the first single from Florence and Matt’s duets album Quiet Nights. Entertain yourself with the whimsical music video here:

We heard from Matt on Monday, now let’s give this lovely lady her time to shine when it comes to love.

What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
The first thing I notice is if I can laugh with that person, if we have common interests and if the chemistry is strong (just something you feel around that person that gives you butterflies)
What is your definition of romance
To me, romance is absolutely linked to chemistry and intimacy. Romance is to share something privileged with someone, something special you don’t share with anyone else: a dream, a story, a strong feeling, something that both make you laugh, a look in the eyes…
How do you feel about public displays of affection?
I think the only way to fight the amount of violence there is in this world is with love. When I see a couple kissing on the street, I smile, I’m happy to see people who love each other.
Describe the best date you’ve ever been on
For my birthday, my boyfriend took me to a restaurant we used  to go to when we first started dating.  We had a blast and laughed so much. I think it was a great date because it’s awesome to be feeling that same chemistry and tenderness we had for each other at the beginning, but years into a relationship.
Describe your love life in one word
Quiet Nights is now available in stores across Canada and at iTunes (via Productions J). Check out Florence’s website for more information.
