Ask your #WCW with Fiona Bevan

Our #womancrushwednesday this week is British Canadian songstress Fiona Bevan! This blonde siren brings beauty, talent and humour to the table, all of the above making her incredibly crushworthy.

Bevan grew up in Britain, but holds dual British/Canadian citizenship. She began her music career at age 15, starting as a bass player in a band before she was promoted to singer and songwriter. Describing her music as “pop in disguise”, Bevan first garnered attention in North America in 2012 after co-writing the One Direction chart topping hit “Little Things” with none other than Ed Sheeran, a friend of hers. The song earned both artists Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) award – not too shabby! She also co-wrote with Australian pop rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer on the track “Voodoo Doll.” Bevan recently wrapped up a cross Canada tour supporting Hawksley Workman and promoting her album Talk to Strangers. With her mesmerizing voice and incredible musical talent, you can bet Bevan will be back soon to win the hearts of Canadian audiences all over again very soon. For now, let’s see what she has to say about romance, shall we?

What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?

Their eyes! Sometimes the way someone catches your eye makes your heart skip a beat 🙂

What is your ideal first date?

Something really informal and relaxed like going for a walk along the river or a drink by the fire in a cozy pub. Somewhere you can talk and laugh together.

What’s your instant deal breaker?

The biggest turn off is someone who only wants to talk about themselves.

What is your definition of romance?

The tiny considerate moments in everyday life – when someone thinks to make you a cup of tea when you’re cold, or cooking with love and feeding your loved one. Sometimes it’s these simple things and not the grand gestures.

Describe your love life in one word

Long distance but… alive!
