Our #womancrushwednesday this week is Top Toronto sports and rehabilitation expert, Dr. Sapna. Well educated and well versed in her craft, when it came to this #WCW she was just what the doctor ordered.
A true expert in her field, Dr. Sapna counts an MBA, a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, a license to practice Traditional Chinese Medecine, a doctorate in Chiropractic, and acupuncturist cerfication among her many credentials. It probably wouldn’t surprise you to find out that this brilliant beauty is also a certified personal trainer, and has used her many skills to help professional and amateur athletes alike at her state of the art clinic, the Integra Health Centre, located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. When she’s not working and helping others live more comfortable and happy lives, Sapna practices what she preaches, leading a healthy active lifestyle herself including trying out every new and exciting form of excercise – at least once!
While Sapna’s expertise may be on athletic injuries, she’s no novice when it comes to love. Sapna is happily married with a beautiful baby and loving pup (Raj! Best dog name ever #furmamasunite). We loved her straight shooter attitude and no nonsense, but still fun loving approach to romance. Take a read here!
What sport would your ideal guy be into?
Basketball! I love the culture, the intensity and the athleticism! My ideal guy loves being into sports and needs to be able to play sports. A guy that’s into sports tells me a lot about his character. It tells me they have a strong sense of camaraderie and can play in a team, they have balanced goals because you not only have to be able to live in the moment but also train for your next game all at the same time.
If you could be a fly on he wall in any sports team locker room-what team would that be?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. I’d take the Jays, after seeing the ESPN body issue
of Bautista. I would ideally like to be that fly after game 5 win against Texas in the final game of the ALDS, I’m sure there had to have been a some butt slaps in that locker room!
What is your definition of romance?
To me, I could care less about chocolates and flowers. Real romance isn’t manufactured, it’s individual. Just showing the person you love that you’re thinking about them is romantic. For me, romance is having my guy sit down and asking me how my day was, or surprising me with a nice dinner after a long day.
What’s your instant deal breaker?
A man who doesn’t appreciate good restaurants or lacks a sense of humour. A way to my heart is through my stomach: a good belly laugh and some good eats, can’t beat that!
Describe the best date you’ve ever been on.
That’s definitely all my dates with my husband (he’s sitting right next to me as I write this!) My husband is the ideal date planner, and together it doesn’t matter where we go or what we do, we always have a blast together. He’s my perfect soul mate!
