Ask your #WCW with Ana Golja

This week we are crushing on Ana Golja!

A fellow Toronto native, Ana has been entertaining since her childhood.  Dance first took her heart, followed by acting, and most recently music.  Ana’s image has graced the screen in shows like Flashpoint, Little Mosque on the Prairie and Degrassi.  She’s currently working on some new silver and small screen projects, but it’s her budding musical career that’s caught our attention.

A longtime lover of music, Ana’s already graced the stage in a few different incarnations.  She’s appeared in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s production of The Sound of Music, among other musical theatre productions.  An avid singer, Ana also loves dance, and plays multiple instruments including piano and guitar.  Now she’s put those skills to their most permanent use, by recording her first album.

Epilogue: The Complete Collection is Ana’s debut under the moniker Muazana.  It was released last Friday, and landed at #35 on the iTunes pop chart.  Check out one of her live performances below, and scroll to the end of the article to learn where you can listen to the album!

What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?

The first thing I notice about a potential love interest is how they treat others — people with service jobs, people they don’t know. How they treat strangers says a lot about their character.

What is your definition of romance?

My definition of romance is something that gives you the feeling of being on top of the world!

What is your ideal first date/ what’s the best date you’ve ever been on?

My ideal first date would be a nice dinner somewhere — nothing too posh, followed by a concert/live music performance (or those two reversed).

What’s your instant deal breaker?

My instant deal breaker is someone who is late for a date. To me, that signifies a lack of respect for the other person’s time (unless there’s a very good reason for being late!).

What is the best piece of romance advice you have ever received?

The best romance advice I have ever received is to find someone who I not only love…but also like. Someone who will be my best friend, because when looks fade, and life takes its toll, the only thing left is the core of the human being.
