Who’s to say you can’t be inspirational and crushworthy at the same time? Not us, that’s for sure! That’s why we’re giving you a double dose of last week’s inspiration, who just happens to be this week’s #mancrushmonday, Mr. Michael Motamedi!
We already learned that Michael is supremely stylish, thanks to his work in founding the Baffi Collection, one of the coolest accessory collections for men out there. We also know that Michael is a massive foodie – he was a Masterchef Canada finanlist and he’s the brilliant mind behind Parcae, one of Toronto’s most sophisticated dining establishments. But did you know he was also a romantic? That’s right, the businessman has a heart of gold. Take a read below and get ready to swoon, and to discover that it’s not just a man’s heart that can be won over with an amazing meal.
What is your definition of romance?
Doing things for your loved one that might not be needed or even be expected, but just doing it because you want to. A simple “I miss you.” Taking a photo of her when she’s not looking. Holding her hand as you walk through the grocery store. Bringing home some flowers after work.
What is the best piece of romance advice you have ever received?
Everyone has different ways to their heart. Some might want to be touched, others might want to receive gifts, some people want to hear romantic things. The trick is to understand what your partner wants and give it to them the best you can.
If there was one piece of advice you could give to other men/women out there, what would it be?
Don’t ever forget the way you treated your significant other when you first started. It is really easy to become used to the other person, but that person needs to feel loved and appreciated in the same way they did when you first met.
How do you keep the romance alive in your relationship?
I speak through my food a lot of the time. Making a dinner for my beautiful girlfriend at least a couple times a week; I like to see her smile. You know what they say there is no better way to woman’s heart than through her stomach – I think I read that somewhere.
