This week we are crushing on Melodic Yoza.
Hailing from New York by way of Jamaica and Canada, Toronto-based artist Melodic Yoza makes music inspired by who he is and where he comes from. Inspired by all the places he’s called home, Melodic Yoza effortlessly blends elements of reggae, hip-hop, dancehall, jazz and pop into a personal formula that brings together everything we love about old school tunes, and everything we can’t enough of in modern music.
From singing on streetcorners with a little plug in mic, to opening for the likes of Tupac, Snoop Dog and Salt and Pepa’, Melodic Yoza has already had a storied career. He’s starting 2018 off with a bang with the release of his latest single “Celebrate” and we dig it. Do you? Take a listen.
