Ask your #MCM with Matt Dusk

One of my first ever interviews for Addicted when we first launch was with the charming Matt Dusk. So it gives me great pleasure to welcome him back to the cover of our site as this week’s #mancrushmonday!

When he’s not making beautiful music as one of Canada’s most beloved voices, Matt is…well, making music, on account of being one of Canada’s most beloved voices. Most recently, this cutie of a crooner partnered with another talented singer to recreate a timeless duet just in time for Valentine’s Day.  That singer is Montreal’s own Florence K, who just happens to be our #womancrushwednesday this week! The pair just released their bilingual cover of Somethin’ Stupid”, written in 1966 by C. Carson Parks and made famous by Frank and Nancy Sinatra.

Have a chuckle at Matt’s view on romance and dating here!

What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
Big ears… well, metaphorically… she’s gotta be a great listener, someone who recognizes what I’m trying to say BETWEEN the lines.  Most people talk over others.  Sometime its better to kick back and listen… be sherlock holmes for a day.
Who would you want to have make the first move?
Its all about timing.  I don’t think it would appropriate to make the first move if she’s having a nice bite of penne arrabiata!
What is your ideal first date?
Lunchtime!  Coffee!  Anything I can get out quickly if this thing is going down like the Titanic!  “oooops, I forgot!  Got a 2pm call!”
What’s your instant deal breaker?
Ruuuude… why you gotta be so Ruuuuude.  Great song and true!  Courtesy is free!
Who do you go to for dating advice?
My 1964 magic 8 ball.  Seriously… its given me more number one answers than Steve Harvey on Family Feud.
