Ask your #MCM with Jeff from High Love

This week we are crushing on Jeff Quinn from High Love!

To me, there’s nothing more romantic than finding your true partner, both in love and life.  And if that person shares your passion for what you do in life, then so much the better.  That’s the real life romance of Jeff and Carol-Lynne Quinn, husband and wife and founders of High Love.

Hailing from Alberta but currently calling Vancouver home, High Love makes music that is as powerful as it is beautiful.  Blending pop influences, alternative intensity and ambient vibes, you can dance, laugh, love, cry and rock out to their tunes.  Check out their latest single “No longer yours” and you’ll see what I mean.

We got the chance to chat with Jeff about mixing music and love and how amazing it truly can be. Take a read below!

Do you find a difference between being in a relationship vs. being married?

I guess the biggest difference is that marriage is after you have committed to that person. You have to acknowledge that there is no giving up and your only option is to put effort into it. People will change over time but you have to learn how to grow together and choose commitment to make it work.

If there was one piece of advice you could give to single men/women out there, what would it be?

Find, maintain and create common interests with someone who has similar core values.

Describe your marriage in one word.

How do you keep the romance alive in your marriage?

Take trips, discover new places together and experience that excitement with your partner.

Does having children change/challenge a marriage, in your opinion?

I can’t say with certainty as I have no children (yet), but I can imagine my priorities would have to change. There is time in every day where my marriage is the #1 priority, and caring for a child would certainly cut into that time.
