Ask your #MCM with Jake Raymond

This week we’re crushing on Actor Jake Raymond.

Jake discovered his love for acting at an early age. He credits the elementary school musical theatre productions in his hometown of Windsor, Ontario as the place it all started. His interest persisted throughout his university years, and he graduated with his mind firmly set on the path of acting.  Jake travelled to the United Kingdom for three months to film the hit family series Tati’s Hotel which aired on Disney Junior, ITV, and TVO.

Jake has since appeared in several film and television productions. His resume includes Being Human, Teenagers, and American Gothic. Other upcoming projects for Jake include comedy series My Roommate’s an Escort, CBS series Salvation, and feature film White Night set to be released in 2017.

Currently Jake is promoting his role in the new coming of age indie feature drama Ashes . The film follows the story of Liam played by Jake Raymond, who after discovering his deceased parents’ final wishes are to have their ashes scattered where they first met, sets out with his closest friends to explore the place for themselves as they navigate old memories while creating new ones. Ashes also stars Sara Mitich (The Expanse), Craig Arnold (Degrassi), Tanya Bevan (Good Witch), Raymond Ablack (Degrassi), and Kristian Bruun (Oprhan Black). The film is written and produced by Jake Raymond and directed by Dan Slater.

Learn about Jake’s romantic side below!

What is your ideal first date/what’s the best date you have ever been on?

Something adventurous and active. The best date I’ve ever been on was a day trip to Niagara Falls. If you can survive trying to find a parking spot there, you’ve already earned a second date.

What is your instant deal breaker?

Poor oral hygiene. Self explanatory.

What is the strangest thing someone has done to get your attention?

Stalked my social media. It got my attention… just not in a good way haha.

What is your definition of romance?

Finding someone that you can’t get enough of. When both people feel that way, it’s magical. When only one person feels that way… you better run.

What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?

How they treat others. You get a real sense of how genuine someone is by watching how they interact with other people.
