What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?

Eyes. Unless she’s facing the other way. In which case her, butt. Then her eyes.

What is the best piece of romance advice you have ever received?

I had an ex who used to say “I’m a girl; make me feel pretty.” Problematic, sure, but, nonetheless, true in many ways.

What’s your instant deal breaker?

She’s gotta find me at funny. At least a little. I mean, c’mon, you know what they say, “I’m a guy; make me feel funny.” Also, don’t lick my face when we kiss. Ever.

If there was one piece of advice you could give to other men out there, what would it be?

My aunt once told me that when women tell men about what’s bothering them, more often than not they’re not looking to the man for answers, they just want to be heard. I think that’s true. That said, I’m not sure it needs to be split along gender lines. I think we all want to be heard, but, goddamn, if it isn’t tough to remember when the table is turned.
