Country music lovers, meet our #mancrushmonday, Andrew Hyatt!
This Canadian turned country boy has been referred to as the man with the “Nickel bones and a Nashville soul”, a reference to his Sudbury, Ontario upbringing. Andrew even spent some time working in a Nickel mine before he put his hands to more delicate use; writing songs and playing in rock bands. Andrew took centre stage in 2014 when he released his debut radio single “Love Drunk“. Now he has an EP under his belt with Never Back Down, another fan and industry favorite single with “Livin’ The Dream” and a debut full length album on the horizon. Take a listen to “Love Drunk” below:
The future is bright for Andrew Hyatt, so we thought we’d take a chance on this heartthrob before his shooting star shot out of our reach. Take a read below!
What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
I love a beautiful smile and bright eyes. I feel like you can tell a lot about a person by their smile and their eyes.
What is your definition of romance?
I think being romantic is about the effort, from opening the car door to grand gestures. My motto is “if my buddies will make fun of me for this, I’m on the right track”
What’s your instant deal breaker?
If a girl is rude to serving staff, I’m out! I spent too many years dealing with people to know how much that says about who you are.
What is the best piece of romance advice you have ever received?
Love is a choice, wake up every day and choose to work at it. The grass might seem greener on the other side at times, but it’s still grass and you’re eventually going to have to mow it anyway!
If there was one piece of advice you could give to other men/women out there, what would it be?
Mean what you say and say what you mean. If you’re into someone let them know, if you’re not, just be polite and tell them. Life’s too short to not take chances or waste time.
How do you keep the romance alive in your relationship?
I’m on a relationship hiatus so … non-existent ?
But when I’m in something, I think it’s important to put in the effort every day. Do the little things that you don’t like to do, selflessness is the core of romance. Although I’m far from perfect at it.
