Ask your #MCM with Braedon Basseo from Panicland

This week we are crushing on Braedon Basseo, lead singer of Panicland!

Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Panicland is comprised of Braedon Basseo (vocals and guitar), Ian Willmer (bass), Riley Basseo (guitar), and Travis Hunnie (drums).  The band have been hustling to make a name for themselves in their hometown, and it’s working; with a sizeable social media following, all garnered through direct fan interaction, and some serious radio play, people are sitting up and taking notice. And what’s more, these guys are doing it all themselves. Braedon, the band’s main songwriter and front man, has been creating music since he was 12 years old. Now, with a little help from some friends, including Gavin Brown (Metric, Billy Talent, 3 Days Grace), Joe Cruz (Carly Rae Jepsen) and Tommy Mac (Hedley), he’s created his best work yet. “Bad Word” is a pop-driven summer song with a catchy beat destined to find itself in the hands of teens around the world. Take a listen to Panicland’s latest single “Bad Word” below:

A rockstar in the making, we are seriously crushing on Braedon Basseo from Panicland.

What is your definition of romance?

For me it’s probably going out of your way to make someone feel special. Not necessarily a trail of rose petals to a candle-lit bathtub but a blanket fort with junk food inside.

What is your ideal first date/what’s the best date you’ve ever been on?

Something low-key like going to a 50’s diner – Half Moon is my favourite, and then building a fort and watching movies. The best date I’ve been on was similar but stood out because it was completely unplanned with someone I had just met.

What’s your instant deal breaker?

Loud chewing haha.. I can’t stand hearing even myself chew.

What is the best piece of romance advice you have ever received?

To never talk about yourself.

What’s the strangest thing you have ever done to get a love interest’s attention?

Probably secretly request myself on the radio when I was with the girl when I was younger, haha. I’m not sure if it worked.

Swooning yet? You know we are!
