What are the best exercises to sculpt and tone arms? And how many pounds should you use?
Some of my favourite exercises for the arms include hammer curls (for the biceps), skull crushers (for the triceps), and lateral raises (for the shoulders). Each of these exercises targets a different area of the arm and will help you achieve that “firmer” look. It’s important that you maintain excellent technique when strength training, so when it comes to choosing your weights, I suggest that you pick something that will allow you to get through a set of 8 to 10 reps with perfect form. You want to pick a weight that will make you “feel the burn” midway through your set, but not something so heavy that you’ll be struggling to do the exercises properly. Challenge yourself to lift heavy and don’t be afraid to increase your weights week-over-week as things get easier!
