I’m not sure about you, but one of the flavours I love around the holiday season is ginger beer, and what better to pair that with then Bourbon or Tequila, so this holiday season we’ve got two amazing drinks that will be perfect for guests, family, or that perfect night with a special someone in front of a warm fire (wink wink)
First we start with one of my favorite bourbons to mix, Jim Beam Devils Cut in the form of Devils Ginger Beer.
1.5 oz Devil’s Cut
Muddle orange in a tumbler/rocks glass and add Angostura bitters. Add ice, Devil’s Cut and top with Ginger beer. Stir the cocktail.
Next up we move onto Tequila, with the Hornitos Black Barrel in the offering of the La Bamba.
2 parts Hornitos Black Barrel
1/2 part lime juice
1/2 part agave
1/2 part Chile liqueur (or dash of hot sauce)
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass (except ginger beer), add ice and shake vigorously. Pour over ice and top with ginger beer. Serve in a coupe glass.
