Primers, concealers, BB Creams, CC Creams, foundations, powders – these are just some of the products women are incorporating into their daily morning routine. With more cosmetic products on the market now than ever before, women are overwhelmed and frustrated when all they want is to look radiant and natural. So say goodbye to using a drawer full of cosmetic products because the key to achieving a flawless and minimalistic look is simple! You start first by simply taking care of your skin. I know, it’s really that easy!
Here are a few products and tips you can use that will help give you a glowing and rested looking complexion year-round.
1. Double Cleanse
One of the key steps to improving your skin is to use a micellar water to remove your makeup before using your actual cleanser. By removing makeup first you’re allowing your cleanser to really clean and flush out your pores of any deep down dirt and oil instead of it simply breaking down the layers of makeup you’ve packed on throughout the day.
Product Suggestion: Bioderma Sensibio H20. This micellar is the perfect remover for fragile skin as it leaves your skin feeling soothed and moisturized. This product is tailored for fine or sensitive skin, but can be used on any skin type. The reason people love it so much: it’s frgrance-free, removes all traces of makeup, and it doesn’t leave any traces of residue on the skin that requires rinsing.
2. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
I know it sounds simple, but finding the right moisturizer for your skin type will make all the difference. Think about it, if you’re using a moisturizer that’s too light, consequently you’ll look flaky, dry, and haggard. On the other hand, if you’re using something too oily you’ll be prone to breakouts. You see the conundrum here?
I personally suggest finding something that is a multipurpose moisturizer that is suitable for all ages. This way you can layer any of your other serums underneath the moisturizer and you won’t run the risk of using too many active ingredients on your skin which can lead to irritation.
Product Suggestion: Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel by Rodial. This unique moisturizer is truly a game changer as it plumps the skin, defines facial contours, stimulates collagen production, and reduces inflammation and redness. After only a few uses, skin looks smoother, tighter, and more supple.
3. Find a Great Eye Cream
Let’s be honest, no one likes waking up in the morning to dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. All we want is to look rested and have the bright and youthful looking eyes we had when we were 15-years-old. Life may not be that kind, but thankfully there’s an abundance of eye creams on the market to help us get our vitality back.
Product Suggestion: Eye Revive Beauty Flash by Clarins. This eye treatment is great for those tired mornings when you’ve been working overtime or for those who were out at the club too late. Eye Revive Beauty Flash will help relieve puffiness, dark circles and fine lines instantly so that you can carry on with your day and not have to think about how your skin looks. Enriched with botanicals, vitamins and corrective pigments, it helps to relive signs of stress, strain, fatigue, and allergies.
4. Don’t Skip on Sunscreen
I don’t mean to sound like your mother, but so many people know the importance of wearing a sunscreen, yet they still don’t incorporate it into their daily routine. If you want to avoid having dark blotchy skin in 20 years, I highly recommend you get to your local drug store and pick up a bottle immediately. Not only will using a sunscreen help prevent pigmentation problems, it will help keep your skin smooth and wrinkle free.
Product Suggestion: Anthelios Ultra-Fluid Lotion SPF 60 by La Roche Posay. This lightweight, non-oily sunscreen is a breakthrough for those who hate the texture of conventional sunblocks. Anthelios has an ultra-light fluid texture that absorbs immediately into the skin with a matte finish that enables consumers to carry on with their beauty routine. It also contains patented Mexoryl® sunscreen technology and other sunscreen filters to provide excellent protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays. In addition, it’s water-resistant, fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, and it’s tested under dermatological control for sensitive skin.
