Let literature help you through quarantine with Audible Stories

These days our social media feeds are all filled with people looking for ways to fill time, in one form or another.  Whether it’s yet another request for binge watching recommendations, a fitness challenge or the now ubiquitous bread baking attempt revelations, many people are seeking new found ways to make use of their new found free time.

It’s no question that this is a taxing time for everyone, and distractions of any kind are welcome.  Knowing exactly that, the kind folks at Audible, the membership based audio book and podcast streaming platform, have developed a new service in response to the COVID-19 crisis: Audible Stories.

Audible Stories is free service Audible has made available to users all over the world.  Audible Stories (audible.ca/stories) lets anyone, anywhere access hundreds of free, full-length audiobooks and other titles for screen free, educational and inspiring entertainment. There’s no log-in or registration required and there’s no limit to how much people can listen.  Users can listen to as many celebrity narrated best sellers as long and as often as they want to help them get through this strange time we find ourselves in.

Some of the most popular titles available through Audible Stories include Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry, Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Timeless Tales of Beatrix Potter.

Head over to audible.ca/stories and discover a world of words to help sooth your mind and soul.  And who knows, maybe you’ll learn something, or discover a new favorite, while you’re at it.
