44 Hours at 44 Charles

In my latest adventures, I was invited to come check out 44 Charles in Toronto, and stay over during Pride to take in everything the celebration, the city, and the location had to offer. As someone who is always up for a new experience, especially when it comes to discovering my own city, I, of course, said yes.

As I walked into the beautiful building, checked in and walked into my pristine room on the last Saturday of the pride weekend, I couldn’t help but think what an amazing weekend it would be, and I was right.

Hanging out at 44 Charles

My stay at 44 Charles would include drinks with friends on the party floor with the most wonderful view of the city, a swim in the pool and roof top tanning, relaxing time spent in my room and so much more. The 44 Charles rental unit would be the setting for the perfect staycation, in part because the entire staff at the building treated me like family, which you don’t find too often, and that was just the icing on the cake.

Not only was my stay great, but the location couldn’t be more convenient. 44 is connected to the Manulife Centre which meant that I was just steps away from grabbing a morning coffee, getting some groceries from Loblaw’s Bloor Street Market, stocking up on my fav liquor at the LCBO, grabbing a book or party favours from Indigo Bay and Bloor, having some lunch at Scaccia Restaurant or Bloor Street Diner, or maybe brunch at The One Eighty One to catch another amazing view of our fantastic city.

There honestly are very few locations that offer all those amenities and you don’t even have to go outside to get everything that you could need.

44 is just a short walk to The ROM where you can catch CHIHULY (a wonderful new exhibit featuring the most amazing blown glass) or you can head up to Yorkville and have dinner and drinks at one of my favourite new spots in the city Bar Reynawhich offers a cozy space with fantastic food and delicious cocktails.

Toronto is truly a wonderful place to live and I consider myself lucky to not only live here but to be a Canadian.

To be in Toronto during Pride Celebrations, that is something you have to experience for yourself. The sense of wonder, that anything is possible and the love that is shared is really something special, and getting to stay in the perfect spot, with spectacular views, surrounded by delicious food, a fantastic celebration and the people I love most, I would give everyone the same opportunity if I could, and if you have the chance to come visit, or you are looking to have the perfect staycation, you have to check out 44 Charles for yourself.
