4 Crazy Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do With An iPhone

We know that smartphones are very smart – the clue is in the name – but how many iPhone features are you actually using? Sure, you use things like Siri and you take advantage of the excellent camera. However, I bet there are lots of crazy things you didn’t know you could do with an iPhone!

Take a look at the list below to see all the things you’ve been missing out on:

Share your location

At first thought, you probably wonder why you’d want to do this. However, it comes in very handy for specific situations. There’s an app for iPhones that lets you share your location and accept location requests from friends. Essentially, the friends you share your location with can see exactly where you are. Now, this comes in handy if you’re lost and need picking up, or if you’ve lost your phone. Simply get a friend to use the app, and you’ll see precisely where your phone has ended up.

Professionally edit videos

That’s right, you can use an iPhone to provide professional edits of high-quality videos. As it shows on www.backlightblog.com, there are loads of ways you can harness the power of an iPhone to edit photos and video content. Your phone has a built-in editor, but you can download things like the YouTube editor to create content to upload online. You’ll be amazed at how much you can do with just an iPhone in your hands – and you’ll be equally amazed at how good the edits come out. It’s content creation on the go, which is perfect in this day and age.

Check that surfaces are level

If you’re into DIY, you’ll love one of the new features brought to iPhones in one of the recent updates. Now, all iPhones come with a pre-downloaded Measure app that harnesses the power of augmented reality. You can use your camera to point at surfaces and measure them. However, you can also use your phone as a leveller to see how straight a surface is. This is so awesome if you’re working on a DIY project, hanging shelves, and so on. It’s a feature I love as it shows just how much technology is taking over the world, but also how a smartphone can be used in daily life.

Set off an SOS alarm

That’s right, you can use your iPhone as an emergency alarm if you ever need it. Hopefully, you won’t, but it’s better to have a useful feature and never use it than to need it and not have it. You can turn on the emergency SOS feature in the settings, and it’s easy to trigger. It’s just a case of rapidly pressing the power button and it makes a loud emergency sound for all to hear. Again, let’s hope it never ever gets used, but it could save someone’s life.

It’s pretty crazy to see how far smartphones have come in modern times. These features show how versatile an iPhone can be, and how many different things it can do.
