At Addicted we love sharing all the best that’s new, and ever better when it’s exclusive. We have some brand new music from VISSIA and you can hear and watch it first, right here!

VISSIA is an Edmonton based singer/songwriter with a beautiful folky sound. She has been building her audience the best way she knows how: by making and showcasing her music. VISSIA  has graced the stages of many Canadian music clubs and festival since her solo debut in 2011 (A Lot Less Gold). She’s shared with the likes of Del Barber, Lindi Ortega, Whitehorse, Matt Anderson, The Skydiggers, and Harry Stinson. Her festival resume includes the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Canmore Folk Music Festival, and Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival. She’s crossed the country from coast to coast, bringing her sound to audiences all over Canada. And now she’s back with new music, and we think you’re going to love it.

VISSIA knows the value of a good tease, which is why she’s releasing her latest EP You Should Be Sleeping as a teaser for her upcoming full-length album,  slated to drop later this fall. You Should Be Sleeping is a collection of tunes that signifies the debut of the new sound that this seasoned songstress has been developing. The EP also showcases the growth VISSIA has experienced as both an artist and a songwriter.

Over the next 3 weeks we will be releasing 3 exclusive live videos of tunes from You Should Be SleepingThe first is for the song “Make her stay”.  From VISSIA “This is one of the only songs I’ve ever written that isn’t about relationships between people. It’s about living and growing up in Alberta, and wanting to see its beauty respected, preserved, and taken care of.”

Check out “Make her Stay” below and keep up with VISSA on social media at the links at the bottom. Enjoy!
