Flashback Friday Live Music Edition – alt-J at Massey Hall

alt-J released their third studio album last June and have been busy touring Europe, Asia and North America since. The eclectic trio comprised of Joe Newman on guitar and vocals, Thom Sonny Green on drums and Gus Unger-Hamilton on keyboards and vocals, have a visually stunning stage on this tour.

The Relaxer tour setlist leans on their first album, An Awesome Wave more than the current album and dips back to their previous, This Is All Yours almost as much. As with most alt-J performances, they ran through fan faves Something Good, Tessellate and Breezeblocks, all from their debut.

The band wraps up North America with mostly sold-out shows in the south and Mexico City before heading to Asia and Australia to close the year. 2018 starts with alt-J playing most of Europe.
