Stay safe this winter with Hyundai

2017 has been an amazing year for so many reasons, one of the biggest being the wonderful adventure we have had with Hyundai Canada.

From road tripping to Quebec City to scaling cliffs in the Santa Fe Sport, to sleek city driving in the Ioniq, we managed to pretty much cover it all. But we thought before the year is out, that we had to test one more vehicle, the 2018 Elantra GT.

This super sporty hatchback is the latest addition to the Elantra line-up from Hyundai and is as fun as it is easy to drive. With great pick-up, superior handling, and being that it’s a hatchback, it’s super easy to navigate through the city, and even easier to park.

The look is sleek and sporty for sure, but once you get on the inside, it has a real race car feel in the overall design and seats, which I personally really love. The pops of red detailing in the seat belts and interior of the car are also a perfect touch and really add a little something extra.

When it comes to performance, the combination of SUPERSTRUCTURE and SUPERHANDLING offer a very nice ride, great handling and smooth sailing out on the open road. The Elantra GT comes with a standard 2.0 GDI engine (also available in 1.6L turbo engine) and has a lot of pep which makes for great driving while in the city or out on the road.

The safety features of the Elantra GT seem to be endless, but the ones that helped me out the most were; lane departure assist and blind spot detection with lane change assist.

The Elantra is sporty, fun, and safe, while also offering a very serious drive on the road. The racecar-inspired feel really does separate it from the pack. We could see ourselves driving the Elantra GT in the crazy Canadian winters.
