What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
Depending on the situation… I’d have to say eyes and smile. They usually go hand in hand for me.
What’s your instant deal breaker?
I’m not sure I have an instant deal breaker. When I first moved to Los Angeles I was working in a really upscale Nightclub/Bar/Restaurant called ‘Hyde’. The cream of the crop celebrities would be there on a weekly basis. I had never seen women like it, and not in a good way. Depending on which celebrity was in the club and what their status was, you could see all the hungry women gravitating towards that person. It was funny and kind of sad. All these ladies standing around looking up at the ‘Celebrity’ waiting to be CHOSEN. Other than that… Bad breath is never nice.
What’s the best date you’ve ever been on?
I like to talk and get to know a girl. My last date might not have been the most exciting but it was pretty perfect. We went for a couple of drinks and simply walked around. We laughed, talked, stole the odd kiss. Perfect. It was the best date I’ve ever had. There was another time a few years ago where I took a girl to a really fancy/posh restaurant. At the end of the meal, she excused herself to go to the bathroom and surprised me by paying for the check. Rarely am I surprised, but I was on that occasion.
What’s the strangest thing you have ever done to get a love interest’s attention?
I’m fairly low key on that front. Although, recently I did see a girl in a parking lot I liked. I messed my hair up and approached her with ‘Excuse me! (In my thick Scottish accent), I’m new to the States (had been here for 2 years at this point) and looking for a new hairdresser. You look like you take care of yourself, could you recommend me anybody?’ It worked 😉
What’s the strangest thing someone has done to get your attention?
I was walking along Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood and I saw a really nice Mercedes Benz driving in the opposite direction. All of a sudden the car did a dramatic U turn and pulled up beside me to ask me who I was. ‘Lets go for lunch, I’m going to make you a star’ is what he said. Only in Hollywood.
