Arts & Crafts’ Field Trip 2017

For a Torontonian, summer is the sacred season. We endure the concrete-radiated heat, the slow-walking tourists and the endless roadwork for what feels like a brief moment in the sun between rain and snow. One sure trumpet that sounds summer’s arrival is Arts & Crafts‘ annual weekend festival, Field Trip.

2013 was Field Trip’s inaugural year and mostly featured performers from A&C’s diverse roster of artists. Each year since, the lineup has included more and more acclaimed international touring acts. To celebrate the fifth iteration of the festival, this year’s Field Trip went back to the Arts and Crafts roots and was positively local in comparison. Headliners included Broken Social Scene, A Tribe Called Red, Portugal. The Man, The Pharcyde, Cloud Nothings, Phoenix, Feist, BADBADNOTGOOD and Thundercat
